Jennifer Renée of Blush Baby is a Boise newborn photographer built around one idea: the images should make you feel something. Sessions are calm, unhurried, and baby-led. What I’m after is connection — details you may not remember on your own in five years, but that will feel instantly the moment you see them again. Every newborn photography session is shot in soft, natural light, in neutral tones that won’t feel dated in ten years — no trend-driven props, no oversaturated color, just your baby and your family exactly as you were in that first week. Available in-studio in Boise or in your own home.
Questions Parents Ask
Newborns are best photographed between 7 and 21 days old, so I recommend booking during your second or third trimester to reserve your date in advance — that way we’re ready the moment your baby arrives.
Yes — a beautiful in-studio space with soft blankets and heirloom textiles, kept neutral and timeless: whites, grays, and lots of texture. Sessions are also available in your own home, whichever setting feels more like you.
About two hours, unhurried and at your baby’s pace.
Always the whole family — every session includes family connection images alongside close-up macro details, because the people around that baby are as much a part of the story as the baby is.

I know what it’s like to long for a baby and not have one. Years of infertility taught me that firsthand, long before I ever picked up a camera for a client.
I’ve been photographing newborns for almost twenty years now — since before it was trend, before it was an industry. I’ve done the posed, cutesy sessions too. But what stays with people isn’t the pose. It’s the connection.
My own son is almost eighteen now. I still have his newborn photos, and they mean more to me today than they did the week I took them. That’s not something I learned from a class. That’s something I know because I lived it.
That’s what I bring to every session — not just the wait for a baby I understand, but the weight of what these images become. They don’t just capture a week. They hold it. This is my life’s purpose, and I’d be so grateful to do it for you.
