About

I’m Jennifer.
I grew up in Hawaii, spent twenty years in Las Vegas, and have called Boise home for the last ten. Photography followed me through all three places — but Boise is where I’ve decided to stay, fully and completely.
Why this matters to me
Long before I ever picked up a camera for a client, I knew what it was like to long for a baby and not have one. Years of infertility taught me that. It’s part of why I do this work the way I do it — I’m not just photographing a baby. I’m photographing the relief, the disbelief, the “we actually get to keep this” feeling that comes with finally holding your own.
Twenty years of craft
I’ve been photographing newborns for almost twenty years now — since before it was a trend, before it was its own industry. I’ve done the elaborate, prop-heavy, everything-and-the-kitchen-sink sessions. What I know now, after thousands of families, is that none of that is what people actually remember. What they remember is how it felt.
My own family
My own son is almost eighteen now. His newborn photos mean more to me today than they did the week I took them — proof that these images only become more valuable with time, never less. That’s not something I learned from a class. That’s something I know because I lived it.
Teaching what I’ve learned
A few times a year, I step away from my own camera to teach The Automated Studio, a marketing program for other photographers, and I mentor photographers one-on-one throughout the year. Most of the families I photograph never see this side of the work — but it means the way I run this business has been tested, refined, and taught to other professionals, not just something I do quietly on my own.
Why Boise, now
For a long time, I split my time between Las Vegas and Boise, running Blush Baby Studios in both cities. This year, I made the decision to close the Las Vegas studio and put everything I have into Boise — the community that’s been home for a decade now.
Beautiful images are the beginning. Beautiful artwork — on your walls, in your hands, passed down — is the point. I’d be honored to create that for your family.
